A fun poem. The artwork is very suited to your poem and even though it is an ostrich. I enjoyed the poem. Very well written. All the best to you in the contest.

Artist and you agree on bird species! I like to play with alliteration. So voila!
Thanks for your good wishes for this contest entry.

feathers
better
looking on the bird
that lays eggs than on the bird
that herself gets laid
Just a nod to the wildlife that lies behind the fashion statement.

Just delighted to see you've given yet another platform to Judy's spectacular watercolor art! There is some whimsy here, no doubt, but also a tad of bemused social commentary, in my reading of it? As in viewing the watercolor, I wonder if nature's beauty had it right all along, and the "feathered lady" was just fanciful enough to think she could outshine the bird? I'm betting this will do well in the contest! It should, in my opinion!

Karenina,
Yes her artwork is whimsical. I wonder how she had envisioned this when she painted it; I will ask her privately. Thanks for your confidence in the future voting for this entry.

Dolly,
Thanks for your compliment.
I too have been on that street and never saw an ostrich! Likely a feathered lady, or at least a fashionable one, was seen (-;

You have delightfully entertained us with a five-liner inspired by a wonderful watercolor. One can easily visualize what must be a rare scene even in Gay Paris. Rod

I have walked on that street and watched the strollers parade by. However, I never saw a lady and an ostrich! Thanks for your peek at my Gay Paree scene!

Hello Mark, a well-done five line poem. Your poem is filled with good imagery. I especially liked:
ostrich
parades
with feathered lady
(Very elegant--works well in Paris.)
Execellent photo choice. A pleasure to read. This poem made me smile. As this is a contest entry, I wish you good luck. LateBloomer ~ Margaret

Thanks for your kind words about the overall presentation of this contest entry. I easily stretched it beyond my typical 5-7-5 (-;

This is a great five-line poem. I've never seen a lady walking an Ostridge before. Although, I guess I have now. This is fun. Thanks for sharing. I wish you much success in the contest.

Thanks John! I have been on that Paris street, but I never saw an ostrich, but have seen feathered ladies on a Spring day (-; Very pleased with your review.

This five-line poem, A Walk in Paris, has the proper formatting and describes a somewhat uncommon scene that could be viewed in this beautiful area. ................................................................

Bill,
THANKS for your review. Dog walking is likely more common in most locations (-;
