Ciao Master Poet: I thank you for sharing your high spirits. You are appreciated. Here...you have taken me way way back down memory lane...for some sixty-five years. Yes...I'm as old as water...but without it...life would be fruitless and dry. (biggrin) I remember James Brown from when I was in elementary school. I used to drop nickles in the jukebox and play his tunes that still rocks. In those days James was the number one rock-n-roll sensation of the doo-whop world. I didn't know Luciano Pavarotti as well as I knew James Brown . He wasn't in the jukebox. But thanks to you, now I know Luciano Pavarotti more and better than before. They are truly a dynamic duo. As I would have said back in the good ole days..."They're a cup-la pretty hip cats. I dig 'em, Man." But you're too young. You wouldn't be hip to that there kinda' rap. (chuckle chortle) Any-wayz be chilly Millie. There you go again. Teaching me stuff that's interesting and worth knowing. Thank you for being my boss in my world....I'm loving it. >>>A cup-la more (chuckle chortles.)

Glad you enjoyed the read and hopefully also the video I provided below.
Two voices that blend magically.. I actually cried listening to them
Best wishes for 2022!

Really good poem to the prompt, but the video stole the show. I have not been a big fan of either of those two legends, but that video brought tears to my eyes.

It has that effect .. the two different genres for some odd reason blend magically.
Thank you for reviewing my wee poem ..
It?s the last of the year so you might love to hear Pavarotti singing with Lionel Richie :

This well done pleiades poem describes the video well. It is surprising how well the two very diverse musical voices can mix and create something more beautiful than its parts.
Good luck in the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Happy New Year

It was a last minute entry .. I put it together in an hour .. it s simple but I really wanted readers to hear their beautiful performance.
I agree the two genres are so different yet they blend beautifully.
Glad you enjoyed the video.

His voice is so deep and warm ..
I?m glad he sang with pop stars to create awareness for the poor and needy in Africa.
I am not an opera fan but those duets are magical!
All the best for 2022!
