So true. I live in the U.S., and as I'm sure you know we haven't done a great job with dealing with COVID (to say the least). We're removing the mask mandate where I live, and I think it's an extremely bad idea. I hope you stay safe and well. I look forward to reading more of you poems. Good job!

This is a great subject for your poem. Here in the USA, things are beginning to loosen up, and today I got my first vaccine. I am cautiously hopeful for the future, as everyone should be. Best of luck in the contest. :)

Chrissy: masks are still on here. Some people burnt the masks and celebrated. Others are in spring break and standing close together. We don't know what to do but trust God and stay in his secret place.

Thank you so much and yes we are all being cautious and will I think the measures taken here with masks, social distancing, and hand hygiene, also stooped a lot of us getting the 'flu' or colds and therefore will continue to do so
Stay safe and well
And a big thanks and elbow hug for the six stars much appreciated
Cheers Chris

Hi Gypsy Thanks for your review of my cinquain and I think a cautious approach should be the way to go anyway and will continue to wear a mask when in big shopping centres etc
Good luck with the vaccine I will wait and see
Cheers Chris

This is very nicely done. A strong entry for the Cinquain Poetry contest. I've found it fascinating over the months how different countries have handles the virus in different ways. All the best to you down under.

Hi Erika Thank for your review and yes it has been interesting to see how other countries have handle4d the Covid crisis and I think caution is still needed in many respects. We have been so much luckier than many other countries and have strict lockdown measure in previous months but now just starting to let our guard down
Stay safe Cheers Christine

A well written cinquain poem, that sends a message on an important topic, a caution to be careful. The artwork enhances the message. Thank you for sharing. Nice job.

Hi Sharon Thanks for your review and I thought it might be a timely reminder to stay alert despite downsizing restrictions
The bugs are still out there

Your cinquain shows us a reasonable and rational take on the cautious optimism of returning to normal. We have had so many cases because of people being completely inconsiderate of others.
Good cinquain form! Best wishes in the contest, Christine!

Hey Chris. I enjoyed reading this apt and cleverly written poem. Your use of opposites in the first and fifth line are wittily incorporated and really add to this verse. Well done, my friend!

Hi Melissa Thank you for a look in for this cinquain I am pleased you picked up on my first and last lines as I thought they might be an apt beginning and end for the internal message.

This was great, Christine. Your words showed the confusion that the public feels, whether in Australia or here in the USA. To wear or not to wear, that is the question. But your words also provide hope, hope that one day soon we will be mask free. I do think that people are now aware of what the medical staff go thru on a daily basis. Well done.
