Fantastic. I love everything about this poem. The photo, the choice of words, the imagery, and the message. Job well done. thanks for sharing. To love and be loved erases loneliness, and brings value to living life. We all need and want love. The act of loving changes the energy in the mind, body, and soul of the giver and the receiver. Thanks

If love should saunter up MY walk I'm getting out the pea-shooter. LOL. H-E-L-P.
As always, a wonderfully entertaining poem, and the cutest picture to compliment it!

Hello adewpearl, Brooke, your poem just melted my heart. Just the thought of love sauntering up a walkway set me heart afire. What a beautiful thought and sentiment. I especially liked:
for in love's possibility
lies hope for each tomorrow,
where heedless inattention
can only lead to sorrow,
(The joy of love and a word of caution to those who are humble enough to hear.)
And:
love will thrive
for those who do the asking
(Ahhhhhh, I'm now smiling ... the above also works for those who seek forgiveness.)
A beautiful poem. Keep the blue waters flowing. LateBloomer

Oh Brooke, another outstanding and beautiful piece of poetry, this reads as a little faster than your usual work, the photograph of Sawyer watching Chloe approaching enhances your wonderful poem.

Brooke;
indeed this is a very prolific and profound piece of poetry that I enjoyed reading very much because of its attention to one expecting love for a first time. Or that when love comes walking your way that you should never look the other way.
Technically your tempo and meter helped your rhythms flow throughout your poem while you're rhyming most indeed was neither forced nor labored while you're rhyming helped with your rhythm's flow.
"Where needless inattention can only lead to sorrow". How many times in my lifetime did I pass up on love because of exactly these two lines in your poem.
Thank you so much Brooke for sharing and posting this for everyone to read and may the good Lord be with you always.
Alex
PS: Will you ever be teaching this course again about spags and people's writing? Reason being I just don't have the necessary kind of monetary flow to be able to take the course at this time. For sure in two weeks....

Thanks so much, Alex. Yes, I teach that course over and over again. Just tell me what date you want me to list as an opening date and I will do it :-) Brooke

Like I said before Brooke I will be wanting to do it in two weeks because I sure need all the help I can when it comes to using punctuation.
I Actually read yours and Judiverses Poems and essays to the tee and look for all the punctuation so I can learn from them. Already most glad to have you as a teacher for this program. Thank you very much for considering me and him be two weeks, please.
Thank you very much Brooke

I will list it for August 24 :-) We can arrange actual meeting times closer to then.

That sounds wonderful Brooke and I'll mark it on my calendar and thank you again.

Hi Brooke
Love the photograph. Sawyer is captured here with so much to write about.
Love is indeed a powerful key to drive us all forwards.
Another great poem that captures the moment in time, complimenting your chosen pic.
kind regards

Love in every form is so needed today. In our busy world we forget to be mindful.
"heedless inattention can only lead to sorrow"
This rhyming poem is a good reminder to be attentive to the cause of being loving.

A very nice poem with a good message. Sometime we let love and good people pass us by because we aren't expecting it or looking for it. There is nothing worse than the one that got away.

A-w-w-w, little Chloe is sure a doll baby. No wonder Sawyer is so smitten by her. She also looks as if she could be a hellion too, if provoked. But, in reality, what child that age isn't?
I really liked the message in this one, Brooke, as well as the fast tempo and rhyming. Sometimes if we see someone we are attracted to, and yet we are too shy or not confident enough to try and strike up a conversation with them, then we will never know.
You know the old saying. "Nothing ventured, nothing gained!"
Well done.:] Dean
