Go and don the garment...

In hope's eternal bane.

Another intelligently rendered poem. One of the messages I picked from the poem is reaching out to others in love especially through the spreading of the gospel of Jesus. Again reaching out in love to sooth the pains of others via our sharing in kindness. Stanza 2 is my best pick as it is a pointer to the agonies of the people of Syria at the moment: "Let's hear their distant wailing
those souls in far off lands;
They cry with pleas of mercy--as,
blood flows on desert sands."
Very well done.

An elegant plea to end man's inhumanity to man, your poem is very well written, with good rhythm, rhyme and flow. Unfortunately we often think of our stranger neighbours, especially those who are somewhat different from us, as enemies, not friends.

Amazing! Love the mystical energy vibe + war imagery + it sounds very cool!

- Very INSPIRING -

This poem really got me intrigued and pulled me in - i literally got goosebumps and keep finding more and more details each time I read it.. I actually sensed a strong connection to some universal power - accompanied by a sensation of familiarity (as though a cosmic synchronisation)

You're a deep thinker / analytical, creative and spiritual /compassionate. You seem able to put your feelings from your dreams and the unconscious mind when you say "hear their distant wailing
those souls in far off lands;
They cry with pleas of mercy--as,
blood flows on desert sands".. I have written something very similar by tapping into this very same feeling in my past
I often write poetry hoping to release emotions or escape reality... that my words may have a positive impact...
After just the first sentence I sensed I would be able to relate to it on a profound level. I was right... I could relate to the structure, wording and syllables and how it sounded out loud.

I got shivera + goosebumps as though a sign from God. I felt a sense of knowing it was truly designed to help people (it helped me locate and tap into a sense of peace). THANKYOU!

P.S.- One of the best poems I have ever read!

    Thank you Nathan, for this inspiring review, I truly wonderful when the connection that is meant to happen, happens, these words are meant for impact, but you're right, it's not the words, it's the Spirit behind them that makes the impact, great perception and connection, blessings, Roy.

A very hard thing to do is to stop and help somebody else out along the way of life, especially if they are not somebody we know. However, it is what we are called to do, as this well written poem depicts. Notes interesting also.

Another exceptional message in your fine words my friend, many of us would be too afraid to 'don the garment of someone else's pain'. I enjoy reading your works Roy, they are a blessing and they give food for thought when read.
Bless you
John

It is God's wish to love and not to fight. Compassion in place of aggression is what is needed today. Message is brought out very well

Forgiveness can only come from one who has forgiven himself. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read.

This is a courageous stand you are asking the reader to take.

And following the role of Jesus, you are saying we should accept nothing less of ourselves than offering love in the face of danger and fear.

A powerful statement, Roy. Thanks for sharing. Blessings,
Jay

Just beautiful, Roy. It reminded me of the very first Bible story I read the best I could when I was six years old--the Parable of the Good Samaritan. That story always stuck with me especially when I saw/see so many people who just walk right on by someone who is in need of a helping hand.

Great rhythm and rhyme.
