What a truly excellent denunciation of anonymous cowards, it fairly took my breath away! To call anyone "the best of the worst is really damning them with faint praise, not to mention adding insult to injury. Good on ya, Mikey!
Fourth last para., second last line, maybe a comma between the two 'thats'?
Fourth last line "The person that left that remark", would it read better "The person who left that remark" ? or do I just have a thing about too many thats? Hadria (and lest I be accused of hiding behind a pseudonym, my real name is Nora Ermyntrude Lomax, God help me!)

I love the story. We meet this kind of people every where. They make themselves fell superior by putting other people down. In general, most people ignore them. This site is for people to expand their skills. I try to find something good in everything I read. I am far from professional. But I want every other member to reach their full potential. I have had the true writers offer their help and I am truly grateful. But like you, I ignore the naysayers and move on. Great rant.

Morning Mike....-smile- aint it something.....I am no poetry expert......no college courses.....or long study of "the greats".......I do however love poetic voice. I know what moves me.... I never spit on some ones effort. What that is is cruel.....it speaks to emotional retardation. In other words...."what the "f" is wrong with you"....because it is a personal problem. Who....can be "expert".......we each have opinion and preference. I'm sorry you've met the " way better than you cult"....it a secret society of bent out of shape assholes"....-wink-...Don't let em get you down brother....your words are unique...and complete....speaking your souls right to life. While everyone has the right to their opinion, there is nor place for rude, arrogant and down-right obnoxious reviews. I am surprised Tom didn't step in and delete it. Even though it was a contest, he should have taken action. Sorry you were subjected to this idiot but as you said, they are out there and we have little to do about them other than to just tolerate their ignorance.
