Ah, yes... who is there to best judge you but your closest near and dear.

Of course, it also depends on how and what you tip the "judge." They say that everybody have their price - concluding what is the prize. The professional wife can only offer a non-biased judgement depending on how she herself is judged.

Let us just hope that her frank thoughts favor us.

Hi,
It is true that someone close to us can judge us better than others when we are not in good condition. To gain confidence and be ourselves again, they can surely help. You did an excellent work!

Enthusiastically, discover a real person in you by her frank thoughts, secretly.

I am sure no-one ever thought about it. I think you are right. Its a great idea. T.

I'm not sure what you're saying - this essay is only directed to men, since they have wives, and it's only directed to men married to non-professional women?
This one has me totally confused. Brooke

Another interesting exhortation from you, Al. How wonderful if more men would take note of your advice!

Spags:

about what you (are) actually.... reads better.

I just reviewed another one of your pieces and I definitely see a pattern. I would consider these to be more poetry than fiction. But that's completely your call obviously.

I like this one better than the previous one. It speaks to finding yourself in the way your significant other sees you, which is a very interesting idea. The only issue I had with this was the ending of the second paragraph. "you're actually" felt like a really awkward way to end that.

Overall, nice work. This style might be starting to grow on me.

Alcreator, there is a bit of wisdom in your advice, but what you recommend would not work for everyone. For those who might benefit, you have laid it out plainly.

I might observe that your posts are rapidly getting better, and pleasant to read. It wasn't always that way. Best of luck as you write.

This is a great short piece. Really captures the whole, behind every great man there's a great woman spirit. This is a perfect example of short, sweet and to the point. Great work on this piece, thanks for sharing.

This was an interesting short story to read, written in a poetic form, about a good way of finding out about your true status and position in life from your wife.
