This has such a gentle feeling to it, like God's love reaching out to reassure that He is there and only a breath away if needed. Excellent rhyming couplets deliver your message of faith.

Have you thought of doing "heart to love have spliced"? It just adds assonance. Hmm now I don't know. Yours is great either way.

In the close:

Instead of loving warm embrace (needs comma after loving) have you considered one word, to keep the flow, like "unconditional"?

So,

I was born to hear the rhythmic beating of God's heart,
feel His unconditional embrace, let Him set me apart.

It just adds some smoothness. But yours is great too as I said.


Overall, this was a well penned, creative poem. It had great rhythm, certain sections of assonance, alliteration. Above all, it had a Beautiful message.

Well deserved.

Matthew chapter 13 and verse 17 speaks of how important it is to be able to take advantage of the privilege we have to see and hear, then be able to understand God's goodness and the blessings he has extended to those who love Him and desire to serve Him. Truly we are blessed.

What I love in this poem is are the images starting out rooted in the physical senses.

Then in the middle stanza there is a transition with your "plant a little seed", the symbol of the Great, growing out of the insignificant, and the poem growing into the spiritual images of "God's heart," and "His loving warm embrace,".

I was born to feel the breeze blow warmly on my face,
and feel the rain fall softly as, gently as God's grace.
