Had I six stars to give they would be yours for the truth you have written in these heartfelt lines of sacrifice that Jesus Christ, our Savior endured for us all. Your images are descriptive and a great reminder of His love and reminds all who serve Him that we shall be hated as well and the suffering will come but the rewards will be great. I loved the last stanza that sums it up so very well! I invite you to read my poem entitled, "Forgiveness"; hope you enjoy as much as I have enjoyed this truth of God's unfailing and sacrificial love for us all. Well done and thanks for sharing!

So well written, gave me chills. Great flow, rhyme, alliteration. Strong imagery in the descriptive lines. I think there is so much doubt because people want to pick and choose the parts of the Bible they want to believe or what supports their lifestyle. They want to run their own lives and not submit to God. I used to be one of them! I did a terrible job of running my own life, creating so much trouble for myself. Now, letting God run it and it is working so much better!

The picture and your words are beautiful. I think this is one of your best works, ever. I do take issue with the fact that He was recognisable. Scripture has it that Christ
appeared to Mary Magdalene at the tomb after His death.
She didn't recognise Him at first. Neither did the Apostle's
recognise Him at first when He appeared after death. I
always wondered how they didn't know Him at first
glance. Guess I'll find out. Gypsymoth

This writing has touched my heart. An read for first thing in the morning. The rhyme and rhythm are right on, This flows smoothly when read out loud. (I read this to my husband as part of our morning prayer) Thank you Roy, I needed the extra touch from Christ that you gave me this morning.
