Good job! Poor old lonesome cow pony, used up and forgotten. I feel like him at times, sitting here useless in my room, with only a computer for company. We all live the life of that pony, productive and full of energy and dreams in youth and into middle age. Then, too suddenly, we find ourselves unable to keep up a lope, then a walk, then we're locked in our stalls where we're safe, never to run across the pasture again.

Excellent
Not yet exceptional. When the exceptional rating is reached this is highlighted

I think horses are beautiful, but I have never ridden one myself. I think I would be afraid of falling.
There used to be a lady in Fanstory who also loved horses.
Thanks for sharing your lovely poem.

Thank you Maria. I was afraid of them at first mostly because a Shetland pony bit me when I was young, but I soon learned they are great companions. Thanks for the review. Nancy:)

This is sad but lovely at the same time. Great rhyme and meter. It reads aloud very well. Poor horses that are put out to pasture like that. Kinda like us old folks who have memories of better times.

Right Yvonne. They just use them up and spit them out. I REALLY love the beasts! They are wonderful once you get to know them. Thanks for the review and stars. Hugs. Nancy:)
