    Lulube ~

Thank you for the loving words. I left him a copy of the poem before I left for work, and he texted to say he loved it. So I feel happy about that.

Thanks, too for this really high mark and also for wishing me well in the contest. I appreciate it all.

Starting with the image of the 2 linked hearts, your sweet poem showed how your life is linked to the man you cherish. Long may you both continue to be happy together, "Evolving and loving, caring and growing". You have the right ingredients: laughter, intimacy, and faithfulness.

Such a testament to love. Time does not matter when we love. If it is true love it never stops. I love the artwork, brilliant colors that speak of the shine of your love.
It made me sigh, and I am an old curmudgeon--don't do that much anymore!

    Dear Wolf Poet Sherry ~

You sure don't sound like a curmudgeon to ME!! You sound like a sentimental, thoughtful, caring friend. Thank you for your sweet words - and you're absolutely right: time does not matter when it's love. And thank you for the five stars, too. I appreciate such a high score. xo

I had a male friend, who was gay and we were the Will and Grace of our building. He took care of me and we were so close. He died of cancer a few years ago and I miss him with all my heart to this day. Love can't be fenced in or labelled - it just is.

I'm so sorry to read this. That must be such an immeasurable loss. But you're so right: love cannot be labeled. Each relationship is special and unlike anyone else's. I'm glad he had your friendship right to the end. xo

You did a great job, Rachelle, with your contest entry. I enjoyed reading it. Good job on the format of acrostic. Your words read smoothly with a great message to your husband. Thanks for sharing and best wishes. Jan

Rachelle, What a lovely tribute for the man you love. The verse is so well done. I imagine the two of you growing together and becoming each other's best friend.

My wife and I have been together for a long time and your sentiments here mirror my own. Thank you so much for penning this and good luck in the contest.

Rob

Thank you, Rob. I am so happy to read that you, too, have a sweet partner who brings you daily joy. And I wish right back to you a continuous time of growing old together and always being best friends. Nothing beats that feeling.

I love your tribute to your Valentine. My Valentines name is also Robert and I playfully call him Bobby. I sometimes call him bobbity boy. And it's true he has his quirks but over 30 years of marriage, they become some of his dearest qualities as well

HAHAHAHA. Bobbity Boy. That's as cute as life gets!! I absolutely love it (but my boy would not, so I'm sticking with just "Bobby." lol) Thirty years!! WOW. I can't wait til I can say that, too, Seaglass!

Thank you for your high score and for sharing these wonderful vignettes of your life with your beloved. Happy Valentine's Day to you. xo

Happy twenty years to you and your Valentine. :) It's a great accomplishment to have a long-lasting love. I enjoyed the love and touch of humor you added to your poem (his quirks)...I think that's what matters. We find out that the imperfections are still loveable. Good luck in the contest.

I couldn't agree with you more! The quirks are just too delightful (I keep a journal of the hilarious things he says, and that way I never have a bad day. When a day starts to south for whatever reason-- work, relatives, deadlines--I open this journal, and just a few entries in, I am laughing so hard I'm doubled over.)

Anyway, thank you for your sweet words and that five-star rating. I couldn't appreciate them more. xo

Susanjohn - I'm actually leaving a printed copy of it for him to see when he gets home tonight from the office. (He's an accountant, so at this time of year, he needs all the perks he can get!!)

Thank you for your kind words and your well-wishes for the contest. And thanks for that five-star rating, too. I appreciate all three very much.
