A good adult perspective set in poetry on what to do & how to do it, when obstacles are blocking the way. I agree, as sometimes the only option is--to damn the path and leap..Like Sawyer seems to be doing when this toy ring is blocking him, & leap he does.

A great life lesson offered here, thank you for sharing! He is a little keg of fireworks! Always in the action of things.

This is an excellent short and sweet epigram, with the bonus of good meter and rhyme. Love the gutsy advice to take gutsy action when encountering obstacles rather than standing hesitantly, quaking in one's boots. Great action picture of Sawyer jumping over the ring. Love, Jeanie

You have done very well with this little work here. Its direct and blunt and straight to the point. Keep up the short stuff !

Hi Brooke,

This is another nice little poem with Sawyer in it again. I love seeing him and hearing what kind of things he's doing now. Your a wonderful grandma to write these cute poems about him.

I've never heard of an epigram until today ? But this is excellent it reminds me of those cards you buy with philosophical messages on them, it's so good and true, well done ,

Andrew, thank you. Epigrams have been around for a long time, and I really like their use of economy of words to make a point and make it fast with maximum impact :-) Brooke

That can be very good advice. I suppose this could also be another fun poem for children if you would want to change the one word to darn.

Brooke, This is just wonderful! And the message is so true. You post the best pictures of Sawyer to go along with your writing. He's quite the inspiration. Great writing on this, I enjoyed it a lot. Have a good weekend, Judy

Discribes leaping good.
WHEN OBSTACLES HAVE BLOCKED THE WAY
ALONG A PATH TO STEEP
AT TIMES THE ONLY OPTION IS--
TO DAMN THE PATH AND LEAP
