A good chapter, Barbara. I enjoyed the dialogue between the two very much. Cash is a good character. Now Paige knows what to watch for in her house. I have a feeling she'll be filling up her journal pretty quickly!

I'm now looking forward to reading about this ghost tour.

Yes, this is very short, Barbara. Promoting this so high will also make more work for you. You'll have to read all those reviews.

One thinks when they retire, they will have more time. However, when you retire time just flies by.

What you wrote reads well. I was just hoping to read more.

A good continuing chapter, Barbara. Interesting photo.

I hear it's being renovated by (the) best Gothic Revival architect in these parts."

I do believe that quality not quantity is the important factor , here, and this is full of it. The "first date" the questions about how to find out about a ghost, bet the answers are real, they make sense, and documenting them for a month or so. Impressive and enjoyed.

I enjoyed the picture of the Pirate House. Paige's confession that she can't cook makes her sound so realistic. Probably cooking is emphasized more in the south than in the north. And the bit about sweet tea and unsweetened tea adds to the southern flavor. Paige is determined to learn more about her house's ghost, and the answer the guide gives when she asks him is really interesting. Paige is convinced her house really has one. Very enjoyable. judi

Good job! It made me think of when we went to San Diego and I sent my teenagers out with the "Ghost Hunters," one night. The hunters had some machinery, and lots of cameras etc. to take into the old haunted houses. They came back pretty spooked! Fun!

Great writing, as usual. I like the casual and natural banter between Paige and Cash.

As always I am enjoying this book. You turn out chapters that are faithful to character and plot. This writing seems already a finished product -- I don't mean the novel, but the chapter. There is little to criticize. I will be following
Paige's cooking as the book progresses.

Barbara, the story continues to be a joy to read. It is moving at a good pace, and the characters continue to be believable. The plot is fascinating, and the growing fondness of Paige and Cash for one another adds to the suspense of the story...not to mention the potential ghost.

Here are a couple of suggestions:

As she stood, her face flushed and she went into the kitchen. (face flushed, and she)

"I'm guessing he's our tour guide and he's dressed as a Confederate soldier. (tour guide, and he's dressed)

"Hello. I'm Paige Swanson and I'm the new owner (Swanson, and I'm the)

Keep a journal for about a month, then come back and I'll look at it." (come back, and I'll look)

Barbara, You're an excellent writer. I never can seem to get it on the beginning of one of your stories so I'll jump in on the middle of this one and try to go back and read as I get the time. This sound very interesting. I need to become your fan so I want miss any of it.
