Sounds like things are going well for Anna right now. Maybe that will last. Excellent chapter and it had a wonderful flow to it.

This is a great chapter. As usual, your dialog and and the actions of your characteristic are natural. You do an excellent job of maintaining individual actions and mannerism. This makes it easy to visualise each scene.
Anna is a mental mess. She has never had to fend for herself and her parents gave her no support once she got pregnant and then married Bobby. Both her family's and Bobbie's abusive action kept her from developing self-esteem and by extension self-reliance.
I'm not surprised that Troy's family took her under their protective wings. Anna was like a fish out of water and the two women needed someone to mother. Paul also was ready to feel useful one more time. It would be natural for them to help a damsel in distress. Obviously money was no concern for Troy and his successful family.
I am certainly ready to see how Bobbie is handled in court, but when he gets out and drinks he will have no respect for restraining orders. I look forward to finding out how he is handled then.
I found no nits, but I noticed that one reviewer questioned ice tea/iced tea. Both are considered correct, although the British seem to have a slight preference for iced tea.

Although I live in TX, I am orginally from the north. I appreciate your comment on ice tea. I haven't found it in writing, yet, which is correct. I have a feeling you are correct, both are acceptable. I appreciate your kind review and support.

Both are used in dictionaries. In oxford iced tea is listed first. In Merriam Webster ice tea is listed first.
