I yield to his powers, as a matter of fact he is so powerful he made me pack a bag and leave Detroit in 1972 and move to Los Angeles. I have been here every since with no thought of ever going back, with the exception of an occasional trip to visit family.

This is a very 'cool' poem - i like it a lot; Old Man Winter likes to keep a few surprises up his sleeve. (I'd rather be kissed by sunshine.) The illustration goes so well with your frosty imagery.

What a delightful ABC poetic offering! Ah! I struggle with this form! Yours is rhythmical and filled with excellent imagery! And rumor has it that Old Man Winter is going to "dump" snow on Colorado - where my son lives - this week! How rude!

    haha...Yes, rude! How dare old man winter do that! I have friends that moved there just for the skiing, seriously. They are obsessed:)

This is a beautiful contest entry, Tina. I enjoyed reading it. I like the personification of Ol' man Winter and the icicles. Your color scheme and image are perfect to depict a winter scene. I like the use of rhymes, too.

Beautifully done ABC poem! I like your use of personification of winter and he as a name "Old Man Winter." And it is surprising how it suddenly comes upon us. Best wishes in the contest!
