This one I consider to be a very well written 5-7-5. It could have possibly won a contest, if entered. And, it is also easy to understand. Bill

As we start a new growing season, we await April showers to come our way. Another winter will soon be passing and God will plant his wild flowers. This is very well written.

Sadly so true we all hope there is life after death, if your religous or not. Everyone ponders, no one trully knows until we're gone.

This is a really good 5-7-5, It is a fact of life that rain brings life, nurtures and brings comfort. Without the rain, the planet would die. xsx Sandra

Some people curse the rain, but it is essential to many aspects of life. I love it, even the cold stuff, though I don't much like walking in the cold rain. ;) Nice poem!

This is a very interesting poem you have written. Life does go on no matter what we go. Baby's are born and people die. Very profound and well written.

This is a very interesting piece. I really enjoyed the Author's Notes and viewing the poem with that in mind. It inspired many thoughts.

I "get" the first line: "O rain come singing" In get the first part of the second line "bloom new lives" I do not get the second half of the second line "endow death sweep"

You say a lot in 15 words. I can see the rain bringing life to the land and the same rain by its floods bringing death in its wake. Well written, life goes on. Carolyn

This is an example of what seems like a simple work, that sends the profound message of renewal and elimination in the process of nature.
