What part of Carolina (North or South) and what city do you

    Thank you for the fun review. Sorry - but I don't think we will ever know for sure. :))))
    Currently we live near Asheville but in a few weeks we are moving to Raleigh to be closer to family. I will miss the mountains but it's time to move on to flatter ground. I'll look on the map and see where you are.

Oh my goodness, this had me laughing out loud at work. What Jay Leno would have done with it if he still had his nightly talk show! Or Johnny Carson, although I think Amazon.com was still pretty new. Very clever entry. Hope you win.

I love the artwork that you choose to go with your poem, they are a perfect match
you captured my attention from the start

What a hoot--I am so grateful to have that age-old question publicly answered this well in a tanka poem. (Of course, Biblical scholars have known the truth for a long time because it's been revealed that God created all the creatures of the earth...it never said that He created eggs...I think those are just the byproduct.) lol

This is a very clever tanka poetry contest entry. I got a big laugh out of this because it was so engaging and also involved Amazon. It took a saying from the past and put it to good use in the present. Best wishes.
