Send a shiver up my spine! Well why not animals have been for all sorts of reasons and T.S. Eliot in his guise as Old Possum remarked that
"The naming of cats is a difficult matter
It isn't just one of your holiday games.
I know you will think me as mad as a hatter
When I tell you a cat must have three different names"
So are we going to have a Senryu for the second name?
You wont need to bother with the third for that's the one that:
"... the cat himself knows and will never confess."

The senryu MUST BE LESS THAN 17 SYLLABLES. I count 17, must be less.

Those who are not cat lovers could really get intimidated on sighting a cat in such aggressive mood. You need to have a spine to face such a situation. Your senryu is a commentary on real-life situation. The last line 'you could run up it' does not seem to fit well with the previous two.

You may have time to fix this before the committee gets to it. This contest calls for LESS THAN seventeen syllables. I did the same thing and a couple others did too. Love the piece. I hope you get to the easy fix before the committee does. Good luck. Crossed fingers. mikey

I thought this was puzzling why it said "if I only had a spine" Clearly shivers cant run up it if there is no spine? Anyway I gave it five stars for its wit.
