So well done, Roy. I think nearly eveyone on the site is holding their breath, lighting candles and praying for Maureen. Excellent imagery in the beacon, the lighthouse and the candles to represent hope.

Beautiful poem, Roy, just beautiful. I loved every single line. My favorite stanza is the first one, especially "to guide our friend to light." I think Maureen would be proud, honored and happy that you wrote this poem for her. I always have trouble with the ABAB rhyme scheme, so I am always impressed when poets, such as yourself, are able to pull it off so well! I posted a poem called "Longing" yesterday. Beautiful poem, Roy, just beautiful. I loved every single line. My favorite stanza is the first one, especially "to guide our friend to light." I think Maureen would be proud, honored and happy that you wrote this poem for her. I have gone to most of her poems. And she is a nature lover. She paints pretty well scenes that are captivating, touching, invigorating and pleasing to the naked eye. Her choice of words is excellent, images sharp and majestic. We can learn something from the beauty of her creations. My sincerest congratulations. Dom

I see rocks in the picture, I recognized. I'm shell-shocked about Maureen. It is a sad day, i just learned of these. i been absent on fanstory for two months. She is special. The poetry queen of Bon Echo. Her souls is alive as we speak and utter poetry against the wind. Who knows where the soul can travel in a state of coma. This is a deserving dedication to Maureen. She would smile at this poem in her honor, I'm sure. Dang! She was OK last time I reviewed her. Guess, every day should be treated as a gift. She is a gift and ever will be. Wish I had a bucket of stars. the stars she liked was in the heavens as they glimmered across Bon Echo. My meek five stars doe snot reflect the greatness to this tribute to Maureen, Tango Dancer. For she once was a great tango dancer she told me -- so be it as it may, how I called her Tango Dancer, for good reason. I'm troubled by these startling events, I just learned about.
