Even the lazy, hazy days of summer comes to an end. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read. Good job. Congratulation on your sale.

That is mean - I'm less than an hour away from leaving for my sister's for a fourth celebration and you've gone and made me cry. Good thing I don't wear mascara or I'd have to do my face all over again! LOL I just love Virge and Rabbit, my friend. :-) Brooke

How weird - I make you cry and make always make me smile. Perhaps we're both doing good things! Always warmest regards, Bill

In reading this well written chapter, I had to sit back and smile as a flood of decades old memories past by. This chapter reminded me of the days I was just a youth visiting my grandfather's farm during the summer.

How wonderful those times were.

Thanks for sharing this and I hope you're having a happy 4th. JW

Hi Jonathon - thank you so much for reading and your kind feedback. The 4th has been great. Grilled out, shared food with loved ones and drank a few cold ones. Not so bad. Hope yours was great. Bill

Hi Barbara - thanks for reading and your support for many years! What is red-eye gravy? My, my. You cook country ham in a hot skillet and add a little brewed coffee to the natural oils. Stir it up and use just a touch of flour to thicken. Good stuff! Warm regards, Bill

Sounds like he had a wonderful summer at Grandpa's house and dreaded to go back home. He said his goodbyes to Virge and cracked a joke too. Wonder if that cat ever did get that snake?

As it turns out, the snake would have probably gotten the cat! Both lived happily together. Thanks for reading. Bill
