Hi Sharyn,

I love this story and the use of the color purple. Your vivid imagination serves you well and this superb story is an example of your skill as a writer. This is a little long for my tastes but it is well written and flows down the page easily. Love your characters and the theme is wonderful. Well done....blessings, chey

oh chey, I'm so delighted that you enjoyed this. It started out as an entry for the 500 word write but the words just kept piling up out of the treasure bucket I'm afraid dear! Glad you hung in there and thank you for your delightful six!

This story's really clever. I like the use of foreshadowing, when you mention that Miranda could never possibly had anything to do with the deaths / she doesn't look like a murderer. The mysticism was an intriguing element - very well done.

Wow a well told story utilizing the colors and their amazing uses. Miranda was an exceptional child and mother. If only all would protect their children so. Awesome girl.

This is a different kind of story for you. Very entertaining. This story proves that crime does pay. That some people deserve to die to stop torturing others. I never thought of the color purple that way. The only part that I would remove would be the comment "if this were a normal story". Kudos to you.

thx so much Joe - always like to try something different - got rid of "if this were a normal story". I have a natural "Storyteller" style and it can get in the way when I put myself in there too much, I realize. Much easier for me to write in first than third person ... dammit ...

Okay... I have no idea what to think of this one... It is so creepy. I'm scared of that woman now! Wow, this is really a murderous horror story in the suit of a fairytale...

Sweet little Miranda isn't so sweet is she. I'm worried purple and yellow are two of my favorite colors. Oh no!! I enjoyed reading your post. Very good.

crinkled slip of cellophane, spiraling upward in an errant wind, then slowly settling, and absorbing the colors of whatever reality surrounded her, including people
I think this comparison is good

It is also a well thought out run of words, lol or did the flow of words just er - flow out? I like when it just comes from out of the blue sky.

Another great posting! This story was very interesting. I thought it was bizarre, yet very beautiful. I liked the idea of a magic scarf.

Well, now girl this one might get you queened queen of fiction for sure, I almost never read fiction BUT then you're one of my special kiddo's so I went for it. I should of had one of those purple scarves to get when I needed to be freed of my abusive husband. Great imagination. God loves you and so do I.

'Cellophane Child.' What colors can do for people to turn around their lives sometimes, but always plays a very important part in life's choices.
