HI dear friend--this is very good-- true to form for the contest--a fine tribute to a tragic event. Love the word economy and striking presentation. Opening line is superb--insightful--sets a pre-scene. Closing line is impacting and TRUE.

The Twins/tumble is an epic line.
And I think your striking author's note would have been great as part of the poem.
There were so many Brits killed in the Twin Towers on 9/11 that it remains the worse terrorist attack on our citizens too. A truly international message.

It still feels like this even when I pass the new building coming home from work on the bus to an outer borough of NYC.
The wound is still there and anybody that tells you to forget and move on wasn't there.
You have capture this beautifully with great imagery and metaphor.
