Hi, Chris
Wonderful flowing read in perfect iambic pentameter. Blimey, you got the hang a that quick! Real sonnety feel about the form and theme, so mystical and romantic. One nit would be the 'love' and 'dove' overused rhyme, but everything else is wonderful. For the combination of flow, theme and grasp of meter it's well worth my sixer. Ray xx

A SIX FROM MY GUV. What high praise and a wonderful way to start another steaming hot day under me rock!! Bless you my friend for your encouraging words, and tremendous review.

Yeah, love and dove, what can ya do?? I may tweak it a bit as I don't like these cliche rhymes, but am stuck at present on a replacement.

But you my friend, truly rock. Not just because ya gave me a six, but because you are a bloody great guy xoxoxoxoxoxo

DON'T GET A SWELLED HEAD ON ME. It might knock the plant over behind you ...

The first 2 verses are full of love, joy, song - just hearing Edwine's voice made the writer gain new strength and find the way home.
The writer wanted to hold Edwine for ever, but she has "flown with Heaven's doves", and has left only darkness. So now the writer dreams of death. The writer surrenders to death, will not fight, wants to die and join with Edwine again. The rhyme and rhythm are maintained throughout. The vocab is in old English form, a very romantic style. Very descriptive and full of love

I bow to your perception and conveyance of same TT! A writer of romance poems I am not, however, sometimes one needs to stretch a bit. Your words tell me the stretchin' has been entirely worth the risk. Thank you my friend xoxoxoxoxo

Well my dear, methinks you have done this very well. Perhaps you should stretch your poetic wings more often, or at least now that they're stretched keep 'em loose and free. You're a great poet, mate.

To see you smile, oh love of mine
Enfolded me in joy divine
To walk with you through meadows green
Lit up the way, my dear Edwine
--good beginning, set the mood for the entire poem. Liked the picture too, it gave me the sense of desolation.

well done.

Dearest Princess Xine,
I am just pissed as H* I don't have a sixer for this exquisite composition. It reminds me of the great masters of poetry. From first word to last, you weave a great tale. Simply stated: I am in awe. Wonderful, exquisite work! Brava! Fine poetess, Brava!!!!
With much love,
your Cherub xoxox

What you say is sixer enough my dearest Cherub. I am very pleased you enjoyed this; always I am nervous as all get-out when posting something a bit .. away from my usual style, but Wuthering Heights beckoned ... and I followed. With much love I thank you my Cherub, true xoxoxoxoxoxo
