A gloriously prayerful, devotional and beautiful sonnet, dear sister! Delightfully musical phrasing and flow. The presentation with artwork and color choices enhances the elevating and lofty effect of your plea to the divine. Nice imagery and message. I find no nits at all.

An interesting response. I have entered this competition too. You saw God in it. That's fine. I am an agnostic so didn't take that approach. There was enough that was threatening in the picture for you to call upon your God however to protect you against an "enemy". You appeal to the senses eg "the morning breeze" and there is a lot that I admire about your writing. It is appropriate to end with a couplet.

I will usually write a sonnet in this fashion. I like the layout better with a sonnet this way. Thank you for taking the time to read and review.

The writing exudes great faith, and it is comforting to know that prayers are being said for our nation in these tumultuous times. Rhyme is very good, and the descriptive wording enhances the imagery. LadyMary

What a beautiful prayer, you have captured the worries of many people, and you've written it in great style. Very good imagery, "thine enemy holds in his clutch....." descriptive and clear.....very good work. It is sad yet hopeful at the same time.

to lift the veil and let thy people see.
I loved these two lines. Excellent work. A prayer poem that I could hear being echoed across the mountains and over the rainbow waters below.
