Writing non-fictional stories has helped me come to terms with events that overwhelmed me. It works as therapy. While writing I also analyze my feelings, and if don't, some of the more astute reviewers do. Let me offer my condolences on the loss of your son. I can't imagine dealing with such a tragedy.

Thank you. It was a very long time ago and, while one can never forget, I have learned to live with it and move forward. Theo only thing one can do i go forward or not. Hugs to you.

This is a great entry. You didn't come up with a definitive answer to the question which in itself is quite refreshing. I believe writing should be everyday, but everyday day is different so should the writing reflect.

I do like your story. It is sad to learn of your son's death. Finding solace is a good thing for you and those who read your work. We have a bit in common as I started FanStory at 75. If I ever knew grammar and punctuation rules I clearly forgot. But I found a software program, Grammarly, that while not perfect, makes me look sooo much better! Good job. Terry.

This is very written, and based on how you describe your early work (mine was horrible too.) you have improved your skill and grammar a great deal. The more you do a thing, the better you become. Good work on explaining the inner reason you write too.
