You are talking about songs in your poem. It is interesting. I like this poem because it's unique. No grammatical errors. Good luck in the contest! Excellent work!

I've never heard of Baklava until today, but your great description made me so curious I had to find out. It sounds delicious. I can definitely see why you feel the way you do. The poem is well-written, your great word choice is so descriptive the reader can almost taste this delightful treat, nice job. Thank you for teaching me something new and making for making me hungry.

I found this work to be absolutely dee licious and way too far away for me to join in the digestion of this magnificent creation! The photography and coloration has driven me to the bakery next door in search of some lustful satisfaction and now left me penniless for the rest of the week! that all said, my sincere thanks for a really delightful day! HIS GRAYNESS, Vance.

Dear Vance - I feel guilty having stripped you of your last money in order to feed your lust for this confection. Some trade-offs, though, are simply worth it. Hopefully this falls under that umbrella.
Thank you for the one-of-a-kind review! I loved it!

I like the love of food romantically written in a poem, it is making me hungry. The first time I tasted baklava was at a holiday food festival. I like how the taste is so vividly written as though I am having an afternoon snack. A foodie dream.

Well, Baklava is certainly light and sweet, but the object of affection? The approach is clever and I applaud you for thinking way outside the box. If the CEC questions it just slap an adult content warning on it and tell them your lover's pet name is Baklava. Good luck in the voting and thank you very much for sharing it.

Thanks! I'll be sure to do that!! I think I may have covered my base with the comment that "love comes in many forms." We'll see. Stay tuned.

Gotta love you for tilting lances with the CEC - I'll be rooting for you Don Quixote.

I appreciate that!

True, love is according to taste. I've always found baklava a bit too sweet. But that's a personal choice. I like my sweet mixed with tart--like Key Lime Pie.
In any case, I wish you all the best.
Peace, Lee

I'm a sweet-aholic. I have never in my life said the words, "Ew. That is too sweet."
Thank you for your review, Lee.

I like Baklava also. Never had it with cream and nuts and--not sure what that red bean is? If you are in a Mexican restaurant, try flan. It's made with custard and caramel. Well, I guess all ethnic desserts are wonderful. LOL
Nicely written and good luck in your contest.

Well, without the cream and nuts, it's pointless!! I'm not sure what that red bean in there is, either.
I've had flan. Mmmm! Heavenly.
Thanks for the terrific review, Sandra!

Wow. Kinda steamy. So much can be said but decorum prevents me from doing it. :) Great imagery and the poem was so smooth and the flow was immense.
