Hey pome... It is so easy to reach out to others and I often forget... sometimes I regret. Thanks Katharine for reading.

This too, about Sweet Mary, has the most amazing artwork.

I also thoroughly enjoyed reading the poem, and totally agree with your final notes about tomorrow never coming. And it is indeed hard to ever learn this truth.

Yes! It happens that way. Tomorrow never comes for many things in our life. Once
or twice in an year I go to city. I want to do many things, visit old friends and relatives but I cannot do all that I want to. I felt like writing a poem about this...your poem expressed my feelings. Thank you.

Your well penned verse tells a good and sad story.
Tomorrow never comes indeed. We put off so much that could be enlightening our life. We don't know what we are missing.
Well told.

A very well-written poem. When we feel we have to do something do it immediately because tomorrow may not come or being too late to do and lost a chance of a lifetime.

There is no tomorrow, there is only today that is promised. You clearly should have stopped on first impulse; however that will always remain in what might have been and what was. Superbly written

I enjoyed reading your poem. I like the theme of loneliness and the last line: "Sweet
Mary, I failed us". Thanks for sharing.

What a sad story... Her portrait of this homeless woman is superb. I assume she is/was homeless. There are so many out there, in the cold, trying to raise money to survive.

Her corner is coming up
My excitement is on the rise
Something's wrong she's not there
No one's seen her since.

I hope she is all right.

This was memorable, and gave me chills.

Amen... I learned a lesson the day she disappeared... she had been there for several months and when she was gone I was not pleased with myself. yours, diana

I totally agree with what you say in the notes.
You tell a beautiful story in this poem. I wonder what Sweet Mary's life used to be like before she became homeless... I always do when I see somebody living in the street.
Thanks for sharing.

Amen and I also think about their lives... they are people not the background to our lives. yours, diana
