No, my husband and I decided shortly after the new year that it was just time to quit so we did, just like that. We went from just about two cartons a week (for both of us) to quitting. Should have done that years ago.

The damage caused by smoking can last a very long time. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read.

Well, it is a straight forward free verse poem. There are probably many people who are or were smokers or even know loved one whom they wish would quit. Good entry.

Hi Mystery author, This is a really good entry for this particular competition, wonderful and wise words , I started smoking at nine years old, I stopped 12 years ago and now have COPD, I wish you the very best of luck in the contest my friend.
