A very lovely poem, it brightened my dad and brought a smile to my face. I loved your incorporation of the senses and the beautiful picture you painted in my head. What a great poem honoring Him.

Such a beautiful poem Roy. Definitely falls into a love poem category, and a nice twist on it. It is so gently and lovingly written. I love reading your poems of worship. The are you chose is perfect, and as beautiful as the poem it accents. Good luck in the contest. Very well done. Thank you for sharing.

What an excellent repeating line--I was born to--I can see many writers really taking off with that line and completing it in any number of ways. You have lovely rhyming couplets, and the flow is smooth. There is a sense of grace and peace about this. It moves at a thoughtful pace. It reflects an appreciation of the sunlight and the breezes, an understanding of what true love is. The last stanza is one that reveals the closeness you feel to God, being able to hear the rhythmic beating of his heart. Beautifully thought out, and best of luck in the contest. judi

A love poem for our Savior is the perfect poem for this contest.
You captured how much He loves us, how much we need to love Him, all He does, all He is, how much He cares.
Excellent.

Hi Roy,
This is a beautiful poem. I love it! I also enjoy reading your scriptures that always go so well with what you write. I haven't written a poem in ages. I've been sick a lot. Haven't been on here for a couple of days either.
