Exceptional

I love the excitement and tension in this. Soni still doesn't trust Jim, although she needs to. Danger surrounds her. I certainly disagree with Jim when he says everything is coincidence. There seems to be a definite plot afoot. Maybe Jim's trying to hide what she suspects. I love the part the dogs are playing in this. Soni's instincts are right. There's surely more trouble ahead. The dogs sense it, too. judi

An interesting chapter, Barbara; you left us with a page turner.

She listened for a moment and then said good bye (good-bye or goodbye).
"I've heard these two called a lot of things(,) but nanny is new."

I wondered about good-bye when I wrote it. Thank you for confirming my thoughts. I still hate commas.

Just when I thought everything was going fine you abruptly throw in a scary gut feeling. I have learned to take Soni's gut feeling seriously and hope nothing bad lies ahead for both of them. I anxiously look forward to the next chapter.

Thank you for the kind review. I will give you a hint. It's not Soni that's in trouble this time.

Thank you for the kind review. I will check the spacing. Leave it FS to mess it up.

Soni is obviously a savvy lady, she has a sixth senses for trouble! She says the she will little Emmanuel and Isabella in, and girl the young girl a job, at which Jim warns her not to be involved! Jim tells Soni, the evidence she has against certain People is just coincidental, and she says, nothing is coincidence! Great squabbling, of course they're in love? Well done, blessings, Roy. Your chapter is easy to follow without having much of the rest of the book so far. I like how you structure your dialogue with actions. You are a talented writer and I look forward to the next chapter of this book, which has me intrigued.

she studies his face, which doesn't look good - great instance of nonverbal communication
you work back story in well through the dialogue
I like the sense of foreboding that leads into the next installment

Hi Barbara,

Once again you have a nice cliff-hanger ending. It seems this Hughes idiot is hounding Soni, suggesting he has an axe to grind, or is in the pay of someone up to no good. In Jim's position I'd be tempted to make a call and have the guy pulled in and told to take a long holiday - or find other employment. Soni may not trust Jim, but she needs to stop trying to cut him off and share what she knows.

Patrick

Even the dogs are getting fed up with the constant bickering. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very interesting read.
