Yes, my Grandpa Cook -- God rest his soul -- used to get so offended, as I recall, whenever we kids would cut-up at the supper table. He was of the old-school mind, that children should be seen and not heard.

I hadn't thought of him in awhile, but I did after reading your delightfully clever little poem here, Brooke.

Thanks for that!

Well done, as always, my friend... :}

Oh, Sawyer.
Your delightful giggle is surely God given and is captured so perfectly in the image.
Never stop being spontaneous and laughing and giggling through life.
A delightful rhymed poem which depicts an image and act all children can relate to.
I hear many more giggles to come.

I miss reading your poems, Brooke... and I miss Sawyer. I'm back to teaching again, so I don't have many free times. I dropped by to see something inspiring and I saw this. It's worth my time! God bless you... c", Mae

I think that Sawyer deserves to let go and let loose of his giggles without anyone getting mad. At grandma's house, she gets mad if my daughters burp. But, when one drinks sodas, one can burp. so ...Sawyer can giggle! The photo makes me laugh and laugh. I like your humor and you make giggles just show up. Congrats on the awards Brooke.
Have a terrific Thanksgiving with your precious family.

Brooke, this is another great one. I so look forward to your your postings because they are so meaningful and perfect. Sawyer is definitely lucky to have you as his grandmother.
Having a good laugh every morning is a great beginning for the day. Many thanks for sharing with me. Bob

So wonderfully cute and so full of wonder and innocence.
I love the sound of laughter and nothing is more wonderful than the sound of children's laughter.

This is my absolutely favorite stanza.
I didn't invite it, but once it showed up,
that giggle would not keep quiet,
and though you may think I'm clearly to blame,
I'm telling you, I deny it!

Perfect. Just perfect.
Great imagery.

Have a good evening.

Good poem Brooke about the giggles. Good word flow, and rhyming make it easy to read and understand. It seems girls are better at getting the giggles, but sometimes boys do too.

This is a joy. Giggles are contagious. Often if someone starts giggling, others have to join in. Excellent rhyme and flow, and it's a lot of fun to read. Cute description of trying to hold in a giggle. There are times when it's not appropriate to giggle, I suppose, such as in church, but it the fit's upon you, it's hard to suppress. I like the last line about denying blame for the giggles. judi

First, what a cool picture. I love the distroted reflection of Sawyer. Great poem. It is true about the giggles. Sometimes I will get in a silly mood at work and the more I try to ignore it, the worse it becomes. Generally, the only cure is to pass it along. Gretchen
