You know this was very moving. You almost had me in tears as my eyes began to well up as I read the last few lines. Vet from Viet Nam were and still are getting a raw deal. The government to the best of my knowledge has yet to come clean on Agent Orange. If anything, it sure made our boys sick. I always say thank you to the vet whenever I see them. I served, but my time was during peacetime. Too many civilians still just don't get it. These men and women need far more than the empty promises and lip service they often get from the gov. to the ordinary person. Dignity is what the man in your story deserved and respect is what he earned.
Moving tribute to our vets who have been cast by the wayside and forgotten.
