It is the little things in life that delight us and make the world a happy place.
Excellent alliteration in
Funny face
Fall flat
But bites
Carts crash
Dreams are dashed

Excellent internal rhymes in the first and third line of each stanza to make the verse even more catchy.

I want to be on that porch.... what a cute set of quatrains , I enjoyed the balance of rhythm in the 8-6-8-6.
What funny faces, and yes that's all it takes to turn a day around. Good job Brooke, Carolyn

Thank you so much, Carolyn :-) Sawyer is always in a good mood when they wait for Andy to arrive because he LOVES to sit in the driver's seat of his car and make the windows go up and down. LOL :-) Brooke

You do realize, don't you that if possible I would give all of you poems 6 stars..or maybe 7. Once again, Adewpearl has churned out a winner. It's a precious little poem, not great,
one that children would want read to them again and again. I think it somewhat akin to, "Winkin, Blinkin, and nod one
night sailed off in a wooden shoe. It's the kind of poem that lasts in children's minds forever. Good for you.

I once wrote a poem about how a simple smile can turn any day into a better on and maybe give a person that extra umph to get through the day but I won't lie a funny face is even better. Great job

A happy philosophy exhibited with these wonderful pictures to show children, that yes, their day might not have gone as good as they wanted it to... Though, making funny faces will just turn a day around.

I noticed that peas for your grand kids are a negative connotation. I am a farmer's daughter and peas are in my blood...I should send you some fresh peas, they are delicious.

maggie, thank you so much :-) I hate peas to this very day, though I must admit, the ones I was served were canned. LOL :-) Brooke

A wonder poem, and filled with truth. There are times when a smile or a funny look are as infectious as the flu. It makes coming home so wonderful too. Well said.
