And THAT is the only place he's a legend, Brooke. I'm actually cooking up his demise myself, and may go ahead with that next week. I won't kill him, but I'll maim him, though not so much that he can't make a rousing return at some point. Thanks for spending a moment with my silliness.
The ladies have been great sports, and worthy adversaries. They deserve to win this one in the end.

What a chivalrous guy :-) You might break the damsels' hearts, though. I think their imaginations have been enjoying the dalliances :-)

It's the only way a rogue can end...unless I decide to go the other way, and have him fall in love...and THEN be spurned. That might be the best way to end his "ride". Thanks for your kind words, my friend. :)
-
Dear Lord, I can just picture my lady friends scratching each other's eyes out over the right to be the one he falls in love with LOL
-
Perhaps a hybrid of them all?

Last sixer of the week, and a very deserved one, Marillion. There are WAY too many wonderful moments to pick one out, so I'll just slap down a sixer, tell you to keep the change, and move on, impressed.

Thanks so much, Chas, for the sixer, and the great review.

Hi David, I am having fun with this poetic interchange. Is this the hit list?
Aussie Twins-Closetpoetjester and Paula60
Dawn-Ideasaregems~Dawn
Gloria-Emmex
I thought there were more. So how do you propose riding around the globe on that medieval horse thingy? These are days of fast jets and rockets. You won't know what they will have in store for you, especially in Oz. They have these things called boomerangs and billabongs where they may drown you and another pipe thingy called a didgeridoo... Don't say I didn't warn ya.
Cheers
Sylvia

Hi Sylvia. Thanks for the head's up, my friend. That's not the entire list, as there are about five more, including two men, but these have been the four horsewomen, and most consistent in posting. Actually, if you'll notice the phallic tube reference, the rogue did go airborne for part of the leg of his journey. ;-)
The didgeridoo thingy does frighten me a bit, so I DO appreciate the warning...AND the great review.

Belaying hesitation, caustic Rogue throws out his dare.
He shakes the vegetation and the hens fly through the air.
Of his fleeting scattered mix, they all wield sharpened pens.
They'll return a wicked fix, and get help from all their friends.

Hi, David.
Excellent mediaeval theme.
Clever use of 'tarting' (instead of 'farting' LOL) to convey this rogue's (the rotten 'Mr Hyde' side of Dr Jekyll) never-ending quest for conquests of the female kind, in 'battle'. :-)
So many perfectly metered, fun and alliterated lines, like:
'And when she's lit and smitten I'll be fixed betwixt her hips'
Great fun references to your 'duellists', Phillipa, Paula, Dawn and Gloria, all of whom I'm sure will LOVE this one.
A feisty feast of frivolous fun.
For your sake, I hope the recipients don't wear chastity belts, as some did in those times but, knowing you, you'll have the keys at hand. :-)
Well worthy of a sixer, but I'm out this week.
Best wishes, Ted

Very interesting and superb poem, Marillion! Made me laugh! I've made those small word changes to my poem about the Grizzly and it flows a lot better now. You are brave, taking on all-comers and I love the rogueish energy of this one! Best wishes to you, Pete :)

Thanks so much, Pete. Glad to get the laugh. I saw the Grizzly poem, and it works well.
The ladies (and some men) and I have had fun with the back and forth, and it's been a great writing exercise.

Hi rogue, metrosexual, recently retired, here.
This is a ripping poem. I love the geographic gallantry as you dash around the globe spangling as you go. I like the hopeful call for them to tie you up once the posse catch up. Sense you may want to be caught. I like how you bravely name your quarry. I think I had Sussex out the hens prior to this as they all encouraged me to help out. But, I can't keep up with the rogue, so Godspeed in your constant pursuit of having your Hyde tanned.

Wow, that was a short career, my brother. I had a great time with this one, and I hope the ladies like their public awareness appearances. :)
Actually, I'm setting up for the rogue's downfall, as it is inevitable and deserved. Thanks for noticing. :) I always appreciate your thoughts, Mark.

Fantastic--and funny, and funnier yet the second reading. I like the metaphor of Hyde, and now the vitriolic Hyde has a hit list. I see no evidence of a let up, but the hounds are bound to be not far behind. Kenny

Thanks so much, Kenny, for reading again. The innuendo went as deep as the rogue's...well, you know. ;-) The hounds are nipping, my friend, and the Rogue WILL go down.

My money's on you.

Much appreciated, Kenny! :)

Wow. That's amazing. How do you do that? Make it all rhyme and in iambic pentameter even! And I've never seen so many euphemisms in one poem. I'm awfully impressed.

Thank you so much, my friend. I just love writing these, and the ladies are great muses with their humor and talent. They're great sports, and great competition...and I think they'll win, eventually.
