Well written, I am very glad you are doing better and coping, I'll pray your illness stays gone. Thank you for sharing this little personal note, Are you the one who wrote that thing on the trial of your kittens?

Thgank you for the kind review. Yes, I am. The battle lines have now been drawn. I think there's a poem on the way.

HI! Barbara. Your informal approach to the description of your continueing recovery from from cancer, has really touched my heart. Two tears ago my wife very suddenly (Overnight!} developed Non-Hodgekinsons Disease Lymphoma. She was 77. She had Chemo. and has been in recession since, but displays many of the effects that you describe. She also has chronic Osteo-Arthritis, and is now having a fair amount of joint pain. Reading your seemingly relaxed attitude has helped her think more positively and for that, I Thank You! wiljacro.

I will pray for your wife. I figure life is too short to be upset over our circumstances, so I might as well make the best of it. I do have down days, but like I said something always happens and I start laughing.

Barbara, thank you for sharing this - what a great example of learning how to cope with all the curve balls life can throw at you. That you manage to do that with apparent good humour as well as work as a teacher plus write your novel is awe-inspiring.
All the best and fingers well crossed for the future.

Hi Barbara,
I had no idea what you were going through.
My next door neighbour has had chemo as well and also the bottom lobe of her lung cut off.
I see her going through the same things that you have described. She is often very tired as well.
The itching you describe could be a symptom of the menopause. I get the same thing.
...and yes, I think they are still innocent.
Thanks for putting this up. It's informative, but also may help someone that is going through chemo at the moment.
Good luck and lots of hugs aimed your way.
Give the kittys a hug for me.

They soon grow out of it. I know my little one has. I think he's also getting the message not to tear our furniture apart.

Hi Barbara:)
Thank you for providing tis helpful information. I'm sure many people will be helped by what you shared. I am certainly sorry that you had to learn much of your information from the trials and tribulations of this horrible disease.

I believe you have one important advantage over many faced with cancer in that you have maintained a strong positive attitude. In many cases this is as important as any medication or therapy that modern medicine provides.

I think you will find many productive and happy years ahead as you keep your will to win.

Love and Irish Hugs and prayers,

Roger

I often wondered why me, but the answer always came back, why not? I normally see the humor in most things, maybe that's why I work with first graders, they're just plain fun. Thank you for the kind review.

Hi Barbara. I love your attitude. You come across as someone who will fight this and ultimately beat it. I hope and pray that I'm right. This was a brave thing to write and very informative. I hope your recovery continues and you're back to full fitness soon. Archie

I am sorry for your illness and your struggles. You certainly have been through some challenging times. Thanks for sharing this information. It is nice that you are willing to share what some would surely view as "too personal". Best wishes.

barbara.wilkey ~

I'm sorry to hear that you are going through all of this. I have no words to express the things I want to say, except that I'm glad that you have made it through, and it sounds as if you're starting to feel a good bit better then I'm sure you felt while going through chemo.

Lots of hugs to you,
DMB

I thought I'd let you know that breast cancer today is not like 40 years ago- when my grandmother died from the radiation treatment. today my sister, my cousin, my girlfriend, my daughter-in-law, my granddaughter all have had a breast removed- and are all enjoying life. My sister did have problems with the feet like you have- but it never stopped her from hiking with me. God bless you, Barbara - your in my prayers. Mona
