Well written, flows excellent and the characters appear real and believable. I find with each chapter I read, the more interested in the story I become.

What a personality Peggy has... And what a perfect artwork to describe her... This is very good written with a lot of imagery and descriptive scheme.
I loved this chapter!

barbara.wilkey,

Your story moves along well without getting bogged down and boring. There is enough mystique to induce the reader to want more. Keep writing - good job.

Great chapter Barbara. Steve and Leya are broken up because Leya didn't tell Steve everything, and Peggy(an enemy) decides to entice him with pizza, beer (with a kicker) and a hot bod. He held out, with the help of his friends, as all this went down Leya gets wind of it. Tough situation! I haven't heard the term davenport in years, my grandmother used that term when I was a girl.
Well done,
Connie

Oh no!!!! Now I am old enough to be your grandma. I am wondering then what should I have called it. I honestly don't know, that's what I have always called it. Thank you for your kind review.

NOOOO, I didn't mean that LOL -- I love the term, don't dare change it. If I were smart enough to post a picture on FS (can't do it to save myself), you'd see I'm older than you are (or so I suspect)

I am 56, born January 3rd 1954. According to my son's I am older than the hills, according to my first graders I am very young, they are so funny.

I had my 55th birthday on the 12th of this month ... older than a lot of dirt here too.

So I guess a person needs to be older than 50 to know what a davenport is.

I am wondering if it has to do with what part of the country a person is from. Although I now reside in TX, I was raised in Illinois.

That Peggy sure is a lot of trouble. The story is moving along nicely. I am really enjoying it. Thanks.

you did a masterful job with the terrific dialogue in this chapter, my friend. Great piece of writing and a quite revealing chapter.

Excellent chapter again. The scene with Peggy and Steven was perfect. Now Leya is unsure if she can trust Steven and really hates Peggy. It definitely fits the "it'll get worse before it gets better" scenario. Great twists and turns that you threw in there.

Thank you for your kind review. Leya takes matters in her own hands and really gets into trouble now.

Hi Barbara

So Peggy is up to her tricks again? How did she ever get assigned to the Task Force?

Nicely told chapter, good dialogues and nice outcome, hopefully Leya won't do anything silly which could play into Peggy's hands!

Hi Barbara, nice long chapter about Peggy and all her Gosh this girl doesn't learn or give up.
I liked the interaction with Matt and really hope Leya isn't going to do something she might regret.
Well done. luv jada

Peggy tried to seduce Steven by getting him drunk. Fortunately, he was rescued in time by Mat. Steven learns why Leya did what she did and Leya learns about Peggy. I don't think Leya will allow Peggy to get her hooks on Steven.
