Beautiful, and thank you. My cat died Oct 27 and I have been feeling lost and lonely without him. Yes I have another and my partner but Silver was a big part of our lives. Thank you for the reminder that he is with God and God is also with us who are left. A couple of dear friends and my sister died this year but Silver was the only one I could freely mourn openly. Oh God this woman is a angel.

I am off to You Tube to listen to the song, Jan - this story is so poignant and filled with faith. You are right, we too easily forget God's comforting and healing presence in our lives. Brooke :-)

Janilou,

Very nice. I loved the message "remembering who God is" but I have to ask, as a reader, what you meant by seeing an angel and god kissing his cheek.
It almost doesn't go with the storyline unless you meant the angel to be your friend's husband but then we don't get wings or become angels when we die.

Very good though.

Your son's song was nice but a little too hard music for me(I'm a musician, songwriter too www.thefullquiver.com).

Faith G.

Hi Faith. Thanks for the review, three stars . . .ouch!

God did not kiss the angel's cheek. He touched the angel's cheek. I believe God loves all of His creations equally.
:-) In no way did I mean to imply the angel was my friend's husband, only that I believe angels work on earth amongst us. As you say, angels are separate creations, not people who have died and gone to heaven.

Secondly, as much as I would be thrilled if it were so, Mark Schultz is not my son, nor any relation to me. :-) Mark is an esteemed Christian singer/songwriter whose song, "He Is" is ranking high at number 7 on the CCM Top Twenty Christian Music charts right now.

Perhaps you were confused when God spoke in my story, to say "My son honors me." I believe we are all the sons and daughters of God, so it would make sense for God to respond in this way to Mark's song.

I do hope this clears up the confusion and answers your questions.

Yes, yes, that clears everything, thank you. I am totally with you about angels working among us I know this IS true. And I am sorry I got messed up about Mark Shultz on youtube I saw the song was on K-Love and I started to wonder :-). And I do also agree that we Christians are all sons and daughters of The King. Thank you for clearing that up. By the way I the story was God honoring and if we acheive that I believe we've met God's purpose for us. Thanks again, Faith G.

Oh my goodness, your story is a tearjerker, but I enormously enjoyed reading it. I'm very impressed with your ability to inspire me enough to believe that I am sot alone.

This is a wonderful story that
touches the heart as it brings the
light of God's love to the reader.
I first went to you tube to hear,
"He is." beautiful words.
I still love listening to, "I can
only imagine. So sorry for the loss.
Years ago a friend lost his son to a drunk
driver. Forty plus years and tears still fall.

Thank you for remind us that God is watching. In troubled times it is easy to focus on troubles and forget the positives that surround us.

Janilou,

Wow! What a way to start our piece: "Sitting in my office, I heard the sound of angel's wings rustling behind me."

Here are some other parts of your wonderful piece that really stood out to me:

"Will you help her feel better? Will you heal her heart, Lord?"

"It's so hard for us to understand Your purpose, sometimes, Father, but how can we feel so alone? How do I ever forget You are right here holding me too?"

"Look with your heart, child. Can you see heaven's souls now?"

I am so sorry to hear about the death of your good friend.
Your piece relays a strong message of God's love, our ability to bring healing to others and it also brings the message of how devastating drinking and driving can be. Thank you for sharing it with us.

SweetLinda

A well told story with a beautiful message contained within the wording content...

This is a very sad story of which is filled with great truth and yet sadness as well for the loss of a loved one, but knowing heaven is the place they are now at, is at least something of a comfort....just think of the flower garden that grows there in heaven. I can't even begin to know!

I too have learned if I don't finish something I am writing then there is a reason, that is for sure. A lovely way to explain what we know does happen in our lives. The spirit is there we just have to ask God to open our heart to it's knowledge in our life...

Blessings for sharing this one. I really did enjoy reading it today...MOuntainstar2..

This was such a touching piece. It's great to be reminded in the hard time that he's always watching over us, and he'll never send us a trial we can't handle, although oft times we'd disagree with that. Great job.
