Wow. God bless you Aussie for taking the time to thank us, when you are feeling down yourself. You're a terrific lady and a great writer. If there is any way I can help, any way at, please, just let me know. I'm just around the corner. LOL. So to speak. But, even so, I know how alone solitude can be. So, any thing I can do to help, Let me know. Also, if you ever need to chat, vent, or have a cry, you're always welcome to email me. I'm always looking for a reason to have a good ball. LOL. Or a good chat. No worries. just let me know.

I'll be thinking about you, and praying for you. Yeah yeah, I pray. LOL. I'd be dead by now if I didn't.
So, anyway my dear friend, all the best.

My dear friend Aussie. you are more than welcome.
As I said in a previous message. if you need anything, just let me know. (That includes pick me ups, ego boosts, encouragement, support or a shoulder to cry on. I'll to listen to vents, and, at no extra cost to you! LOL. I'm even available for weddings, anniversaries, funerals and 21st. LMAO. (Although I have performed at most of those places.) Hahaha.

Keep jour chin up girl. You know? I sense something tremendous in you mate. You've got some awesome gifts, and i believe before long, you'll see them and believe them as well. You've got a great story to tell, and a message for the world to hear. I also sense a real dogged, determination about you too.

Have you ever thought seriously about writing a book about your life. A sort of "how to?" book on surviving trauma. A biography about your life. Might sound funny, or seem a bit of a challenge mate. BUT, I know you could do it, AND, it'd be a best seller. I'm sure of it. I have inspired a few people on here to write books about their story, actually, even some not on here. LOL. So, give it some thought and see what comes of it. Nothing ventured nothing gained. Besides, if you need any help, I'm always here to support you, and, there are many on the site that will be glad to help :-)
Be great for you. If nothing else, it'd be good therapy.

Anyway, hang in there mate. I'm here for you.

Hello Crusty Bread...er, Brad. Thanks again; I have been bowled over by 175 reviews on my Tribute to Fan Story! Have answered everyone personally and some folks even gave member pumps and certificates and after 24hrs the letter reached page one and is best ever recognised. I didn't think this would happen but it did and it has lifted me up, spun me around and given me faith in the human spirit across the world - you included. I have thought about writing a short novel on how to deal with accident trauma; I also have written short stories on what happened that life-changing day 27th July 82. I don't usually wallow in misery (only wallow in the local heated therapy pool.) By the way, Darwin was on TV and we saw a clip on the great swimming centre you have up there, no wonder you don't want to leave. Depression is very real as you know; we are tough and when the going gets tough, Aussies get going - eventually. Love, Kay XXX

Aussie, bless you. Your message was heart-felt. I have both of my legs, even though they don't get me there as fast as they used to, I can't imagine what it would be like. I've been heathy all my 77 years, but the past 6 months or so, I've felt like crap. Just this past Sunday was my wake up and smell the roses, coffee, whatever, kinda day. I'm thankful for FanStory, too. Keep writing, dear. It's great therapy. pat

What a fabulous tribute to Fan Story and the fantastic people on it. I feel exactly the same! Now to that picture, I must say that is one precious pooch. I would say he or she comes a close second to the overall stuffed animal appeal of my own Bob!

Well you've summed it up pretty well. The sight aint perfect but it is still one hell of a special place. This is the first time I've met you but I'm looking forward to it not being the last. Pat on the back to you and to all the other fanstorians. It's a neat club to belong to.

It is wonderful that you have found such comfort from your membership of FS. Clearly, you've had some very (very) bad luck and the help you have enjoyed from the members is a boon you so vividly describe. Tom

Although there are many things wrong about the Internet (the way it encourages borderline schizophrenia amongst those who can't distiguish between fantasy and reality, e.g.), there are many things right with it. You illustrate one of them--the ability for those who are homebound for whatever reason to have a community. When I found out I had a weak heart, the FanStory community was incredibly helpful through my days of depression. I had friends here, but the people on FanStory who knew how to expresss their sympathy so well were very important to me. I am glad for you you found them as well.

I am so sorry to hear about your tragic accident and that you are feeling low. Yes, Fanstory is a great place to make new friends and express yourself for all of us to hear--and we are listening! I hope your writing takes you to happy places and helps lessen the pain. We are all here for you! All you gotta do is ask! William.

Kay, I'm so sorry you're feeling depressed. Life can be so damned unfair. The Kay I know is friendly and funny and informed and teaches me all about her culture and has writing talent. I realize not having your leg limits the physical things you can do and is no small inconvenience - I bet it sucks big time. I have trick knees that dislocate, and I know how much that impacts my life, so I can only imagine the troubles you have. But you are a wonderful friend and member of this community, and your leg or lack of leg does nothing to hinder that. I love you, my Australian writing buddy :-) Brooke

Aussie, what a wonderful thing to do. To rise above your difficulty and emotional status right now and express gratitude to Fanstorians. It is I who needs to reach out and thank you for being there, such a loyal supporter of my work and a friend. It is I who should thanking you for the inspiration and immense knowledge you impart so freely. It is I who should be thanking you for jolting me back to reality and making me realize that my life is more than blessed and I should have a positive attitude. You are the best, really you are..jimi
