I read this piece twice. When I first started reading, I was expecting the usual flippant fantasy about time travel. This is so much more.
You have taken a trip to Calvary, and now I have journeyed with you. I like the way you use elements of fantasy (time portal, being in an unknown place with strangers) to tell the Good News of salvation.
This is well written and moving. Thank you for sharing it.

i remember in my senior year of high school(a long time ago btw), one of the questions on my history final was describe the one event in history you would like to travel back in time to view and why. my answer was when they nailed Jesus to the cross. you might want to spell check though. i believe it's spelled desperation, not desparation. you really brought out that even surrounded by all the despair He was still the Rock, and in total peace. well done...

Wow, powerful, unexpected yet pleasant suprise. What a wonderful feeling knowing that He is smiling at me and loved me enough to give up His life.
