My friend,
you got me worried for a moment there, so I jumped to the author notes! Thank God. A well written poem with style, rhyme and a smooth flow. A joy to read.

Dadgummit, where's my blasted sixer when I SO need one? This is genius, girl! Fabulous! Love the mystical, lyrical rhythm of the flow, the old-fashioned, Poe-esque tone of mourning here. So, so very good. A ten, really. :)

Thank you so much my friend. To be told I have written in a "Poe-esque" tone is better than any six, any day (or ten even). Bless ya! xoxoxoxoxoxo

You used the themes of lost love and death well in this tribute to "Wuthering Heights". I enjoyed the strong rhymes and the stanza breaks were effective. I also thought you chose an apt picture and colors.

the ability to be totally crushed by an emotion makes us human, and so precious. I thought this was romantic, Chris, and very well done.Thunderous applause

Who woulda thought a woman who spends quality time with alpacas could be so damn romantic? This was a great poem, Chris. Sweet and romantic without being too sappy.

Ya know, my main boy (alpaca) is a very romantic 'paca indeed. He gazes into my eyes while chewing his food, then puts his chin on my shoulder and snuggles. Not bad for a critter who stands taller than me ... So romance is alive and well on the farm m'dear AutoWasher person you.

Thanks so much for your comments and review my friend; very encouraging indeed and I'm glad I didn't make you wanna spew (I know how these love poems can go sometimes) xoxoxoxoxo

Wow! great poem! What's not to like - this poem has all the attributes of quatrain format, good aabb rhyme scheme, pleasing, consistent rhythm. Good job.

My only comment is: I don't think commas separating the adjectives in the first two stanzas are needed. I think they tend to disrupt the flow in those lines.

Just my thoughts.

Thank you so much Duane. This is high praise indeed coming from you. Thanks also for your suggestion about commas - I am a comma freak and put 'em in silly places sometimes (it seems they run with how I'm thinking before I write, if you know what I mean).

Again, thank you so much. Your words mean a great deal to me xoxoxoxoxoxo
