You did a great job with your poem, Willie. I loved the
picture--esp the horse with its bowed head. Your words
sounded just like an ol' cowboy would have spoken. There was
smooth flow and great details. The font worked well, too, as
well as the rhyme. The message was clear and truthful.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

Hi Willie,
I really liked this Cowboy conversation with God. It was really sweet.
I found that the poem had a couple of rough patches in the meter, but it didn't really take away from the poem at all.
Nicely done
Susan :)

Thank you for sharing this cowboy and his horse's prayer with us. Since the cowboy and his horse have probably been together for a while, I'm sure the horse has the same thoughts. This was a good read.

This is a very moving talk of the old cowboy to God. Loved the use of a Western dialect. Terrific imagery and visuals.

Loved this:

Just a little more time is all I ask.
With your mercy, that shouldn't be a big task.

When I leave this old world I love so much,
Take me to a place where's there's horses and such.

Very moving, loved it, great job.

I love this, especially when you speak in the voice of an old cowboy. For me, I got a feeling of peace reading it, I really do hope there is a heaven like that. Full of sentiment and great imagery, thanks for sharing.

I really enjoyed your poem. I think your words perfectly portrayed what a cowboy feeling his age creep up on him would hope and pray for. He sounded so humble. The artwork was a great fit.

There is little hope for the man too proud to bow his head in prayerful acknowledgement of the inarguable fact that there is not only a true living God, but there is a God that loves him, cares about what is important to him and who is pleased that he recognizes this.

I really enjoyed reading this. I loved the simple, sincere plea in the poem. The rhyme and meter and flow are all great.

The font is quite apt but some people may find it a bit hard to read.

I have never been to Texas and am not American either, so whatever I know about the Cowboy life is through American movies and books. This poem touched me. You have my 6 stars for this.

The voice of the poem is totally convincing. The reader can 'hear' the cowboy's humble plea. The font makes it read and look like an authentic letter. The meter and rhyming scheme lend it musicality; you just need to
get out your guitar!
