This poem moves quickly like the dancing at a party. It flows well despite the mixed rhyme schemes. I like the sarcasm at the end.

I've heard the expression 'party animals,' but didn't know that real animals actually party, LOL.
This was so much fun to read and those great pics placed between the text really enhanced your presentation.
I love that last stanza and realize you were just 'funin' us. The only way to get kids to clean up after themselves is with a bribe. Best wishes, Lilly

Ah, humans don't know what animals get up when they aren't around!! Lol. For some reason everyone on here has a problem believing children tidy up after themselves, but they can easily believe the animals have a party!! LOL! Love it! What fun! What fun! I love your fun poem, Sandra. The topic
is awesome--if only mankind could try to be half as kind and
friendly as animals. We could learn so much from them instead
of just ' lording over them.' The pictures interspersed add great enjoyment. Your rhymes are well chosen, the dialogue is great, and the idea of working together is a super lesson.

This is outstanding. What a fun romp through the planning, the invitations and even the cleaning up! Your flow was wonderful and it would be a shame to not read this out loud. This is outstanding. What a fun romp through the planning, the invitations and even the cleaning up! Your flow was wonderful and it would be a shame to not read this out loud. As a children's poem it would be a fun read and maybe even plant a few seeds of adult wisdom. Top notch effort. I give it six stars!

Those are indeed delightful characters. I especially liked the picture of the musicians. This is great stuff, and best of luck in the contest. It should land right up there at the top. The rhythm is delightfully rollicking and joyful. Delightful descriptions of the animals who came to the party. I presume the penguins came in formal attire. How nice that they cleaned up after their party. That's better than some humans do. Wonderful presentation. judi

I am not a poet nor a poetry reader. I really enjoyed this poem though so maybe I'm in my second childhood. First, I think a poem should rhyme and this one does. Second, it should have a certain rhythm and it hit that mark too. Third it was upbeat and fun. Good job.
