I think the worst things ever are cod or capers, in Europe they seemed to lo like those dreaded roll mops, they are really awful. You brought back some horrid memories of seefood dear Liz, but good luck, in future, blessings Roy.

Luckily, I had my standby imitation crab--in two minutes I whipped together a one-minute faux-bisque--milk/marinara base.

I got the fish from the food pantry where I volunteer--I found out this afternoon that they gave it out unawares to more than a hundred people as part of the standard grocery bag, which typically has plain frozen filets. Surprise!!!

You educated me. I didn't fish were perserved by salting. You must have bought them from a fish market because if they came in package surely that would be marked. I hope you had a plan B for supper. What a disappointment and waste of good marinara sauce. I got the part about Lot's wife and the Morton salt.
