I could actually feel the thirst and the stifling heat of New Mexico when reading your wonderful essay! I was in Mexico once; we all stayed in a motel 6 in Gallup. It was a Monday night because we all watched Monday night football.

I could actually feel the thirst and the stifling heat of New Mexico when reading your wonderful essay! I was in Mexico once; we all stayed in a motel 6 in Gallup. It was a Monday night because we all watched Monday night football.
Anyway I love your stories.

The visuals of your brother, driving through the city, had me curled up laughing. I'm sure they didn't let him do that again. But it was good training. LOL. Well, I don't think I'll miss not going to that place, I don't do heat to that degree. The mid 70s is my happy bunny temperature. Another really interesting chapter, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

I thought this was well written. The history of the state is less interesting than your story of your trip. I would suggest either leaving the details on the history of the state or molding it into the story. Perhaps as a conversation while making this a larger story. Very enjoyable.
