A lovely haiku! I love poppies of all kinds but I live in such a wet climate, it's hard to grow them here. I enjoyed learning about your childhood imagination turning the poppies into ballerinas. It must make you feel nostalgic when you see poppies. Nicely done!

In my mind I pictured a child standing and holding a red poppy, with her mother honoring her dad.
