Thank you so very much for this amazing review, my wonderful friend. I like his crab, that's why I put it at the top this time. In fact, I'll do that with them all from now on. You'll have a giggle over the next one, of course, I'm not telling you if you guessed right last time. I might surprise you ... NOT, LOL. That was a lovely picture you painted of me and Graham together by the fire. Quite romantic!! Have a wonderful day, my friend, stay safe, and give my love to everyone. Huge hug and so much love coming to you! :)) Sandra xxx

Oh yes, crab meat is delicious. It's a bit laborious breaking them out of their shells however. This is a marvellous thing you do for Eric dear girl, I think it might help other kids also, I like this excellent ptoject of yours, later in life Eric will know how much he's loved, all kids need that. Well done Sandra, blessings, Roy

The breaking of the shell is the one thing that puts me off having them in a restaurant, I make such a mess of it! Thank you for your lovely review, Roy, I do enjoy reading them. Have a wonderful day, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Fascinating. I like that they 'dress up.' I never thought of the claws as legs, but I want the legs off the Japanese Spider Crab. What a meal! I like Graham's pictures best.

I wouldn't want to be the one to catch it, though, I tried to find a good picture of one, but none puts them by something that would actually show their huge size. Shame, that. I think one would feed a family for a week, lol! Thank you so much for this lovely review, Yvonne, you put a smile on my face to start my day. Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

I liked the crab! When you get to L let me know... I'm certain if I look long enough I can find you a nice Blue Lobster! :) They're kind of cool... :) So, I hesitate to ask what D is... I feel as if I'm letting you down in a big way... if you ever need a Zebra... I've got them in spades!!! LOL

Hello Susan, thank you so very much for this lovely review. I've told Graham that you liked his crab! The L has already been drawn, it's an animal that not many children would have heard of, let alone adults. I'll wait to see if you know it and if you have pictures of them. :)) I'm going to look up the Blue Lobster anyway, he sounds rather interesting. Thank you, my friend, I love your encouraging reviews. Have a great day! :)) Sandra xx

That's cute, and so is the artwork. I remember telling my daughter a crustacean was a 'critter with a crust' to help her remember. I love the part about them dressing up and hiding in stinky sponges. I didn't know that.

I love that, 'critter with a crust' that sounds like the start of a poem to me, Cindy! Lol. Thank you so much for this lovely review, and your fabulous thought on it. Have a lovely day, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

I have the urge to be crabby and say I didn't enjoy this posting, but that would be untruthful. Another fun-to-read poem, Sandra, and lots of interesting information to go with it. Hugs, Lou

LOL!! Lou, what are you??? I had just taken a bite out of a pear and nearly chocked with laughter!! LOL! Thank you for another of your fun reviews, even though it nearly killed me!!! LOL! Sending you a big hug, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Oh, no, don't choke because of me. I wasn't even trying to be funny - you just have a super duper sense of humor. I've been in a lousy mood today and reading your reply made me feel better. Was at the market. Some guy sneezed and wasn't wearing a mask. I was wearing my usual rainhat, mask and gloves. But that sneeze really upset me. Stay safe, Sandra.

This entire piece is excellent. The poem is catchy and delightful. The prose explanatory part about habitat, style of movement, diet, "camouflage," etc.,is very informative. If I see that great big one, I might discover that I CAN still run after all! LOL

I believe you have an excellent way of even teaching any child the ABC's. What made my smile in you poem. ----chatting up the girls; then in your prose----
Male crabs tend to fight each other over the girls, or for a good hiding hole.

Your husband's drawing is so cute--love it, Sandra. I enjoyed your poem about crabs. I can see kids liking it--especially about chatting up the girls and covering themselves with bits and pieces of things to keep from being found. This is a great addition to you book. Thanks for sharing. Respectfully, Jan

Cc = is for the Crab [ delete the = sign OR use it maybe like this
Cc=Crab

Fun facts on Crabs [skip a space between this & next line ]
Crabs are crustaceans, and called 'decapods', which means, 'ten-footed' but the first pair [ is ] are their claws. They also have a thick outer skeleton which helps to protect the soft tissue underneath. A group of crabs are [ is ] called a cast.
You will find crabs in all the oceans around the world[ world, as well, ] as well as in freshwater,[ no comma ] and on the land. It's amazing to think that there are over 4,500 species. Most crabs have a strange sideways walk. [ walk; but, there are . . . ] But, there are some that can walk forwards or backwards.
Crabs eat both meat and plants; they [they, also, ] also eat algae and bacteria, shellfish, worms, squid and fish eggs. Some crab species can get rid of their limbs and grow them back again after a year.
Male crabs tend to fight each other over the girls, or for a good hiding hole. One fun fact is that crabs like to dress up! They cover their crust with bits and pieces [ of what--I would say that here OR bits and pieces of odd materials ], to stop their enemies from finding them. Some use live sponges which can smell pretty awful and will put the enemy off, too.
About 1.5 million tonnes [ is this the UK spelling of 'tons '? ] of crabs are caught every year.

Good morning, Jan. Thank you so much for your lovely review and all the corrections you've picked up. I started going through them late last night and finished this morning! lol. Tonne is the UK and most other countries in the world, way of spelling. Ton is the US. We do use Ton, as a form of shorthand, and in looser ways such as 'I've got tons to do this morning,' 'I've got tons of mosquito bites on my arm.' I'm learning a lot about the differences in our English, it's really interesting. Your ton, is easier to spell for children then our tonne! lol. Thank you, my friend, and I'm so pleased you liked the letter C. Big hugs, and stay safe! :)) Sandra xxx

Another fact-packed post! Enjoyed learning about crabs especially how they like to dress up! The more I learn about these cute sea animals, I'm feeling worse about enjoying seafood.
