This had me laughing. Dental floss? How could you keep a straight face?
My worst job lasted 4 hours in a screw factory. A machine would come around and I had to place the screws in a hole. 4 hours was like 12 hours.
I quit that day.

Hi Sally, this was good fun to read. I especially liked the last one with the dental floss. It really made me laugh.
What I'm not so sure of. Is this for all of us to contribute? Or is it only you and Robert Z?
I hope our enjoyed a slice of my life. I look forward to reading yours, too.= I hope you enjoyed ...

Yes, it's easy to contribute. Press multi-author book button near the reviewers box and it will automatically start a chapter for you in edit mode. You are welcome to use my pic of Clint Eastwood or pick something else for your post. It's super easy. I would love love to read yours. No deadline. Thank you for the review and for stopping by, dear Ulla.

Sally,
Haha! The Dental floss story had me giggling. I'm surprised you lasted a few rooms into the tour! I would have said something in the foyer. Proud of you for closing the deal. Can I play along and write a chapter? Or do I need to be invited? Did I just invite myself to a party? Lol. I enjoyed your Good, Bad and the Ugly story very much.
Blessings. Beth

This is a very interesting read. I don't think I ever had a job that I absolutely hated. Fortunately, I was a stay at home mother until the boys were grown, and every job I wanted was a good one. I can certainly see why you went back to being a telephone operator.

Thank you, dear Yvonne. I hope you'll chime in, dear poetress. I love these as books, as they build camaraderie among us as FanStorians. I'd say, somewhat like our poetry challenges. :)
Sending you my best today as always,

Well, now how fun is this?! Okay, I gotta tell you though, your 'bad' and my 'bad' do not have one iota in common... lol! ;) :) And, yeah, just from your pen, my Lady Sal, I can see how the PD office would NOT be a good fit... me, on the other hand....well, let's just say I probably would not have put it in the 'bad' ... lol! ;) :) However, I can SOOO relate to the two hour parking thing...it was why I bought a bicycle my second semester freshman year in college because ALL of the parking around and near campus was freaking two hour - ugh!! Discovered a whole lot about back street New Orleans on that bike, however, that I would have never known about... ;) :) ;) Will be sure to 'tune in' for my chapter some time this week, my lady -- take care!! ;) :) Yvette

Hi Sally. I hate using my phone for this but I just read your three stories and the good job is heartwarming and meaningful. The second story for the bad job did bring a smile to my face because of the unintended consequences. I have to say, the third one made me laugh out loud. Between the dental floss and the see-through pajamas, I couldn't help myself. I wasn't giggling but it was very close.
The Clint Eastwood picture is awesome.
I will get mine posted to the multi-author book section as soon as we get home this evening.
Thank you for inviting me to join you. It is right at 1000 words.
Your pal Z.

My pal, to make you laugh was my goal. My ugly one is a classic. I will never be able to unsee that one. So glad you like. Thanks you for the sixer and fun participation, Z. I can't wait for yours!! Mine was close to 1000 words, by the way.
Sending you my best today as always,

Sal. I talked my wife into a delay so I can get mine posted. She is throwing things at me and yelling but I will have it posted in the next few minutes. Z (*_*)

I enjoyed your write here Sally and I can concur here, my best job is the same as yours, being at home as a wife and Mother and coming close second was my fitness job at Aston University as I taught aerobics. The ugliest job was working for a well known car repair shop as the complaints manager and I was inundated with complaints and some people were very aggressive! I did some work in private surveillance, which is also ugly work as you are spying on other people, but it can be interesting. The most colourful job was working as a Police Officer! And the bad job was working for an insurance company! They try every trick in the book not to pay out on claims! You made me think of my long and varied career here! Glad all that is behind me now, love Dolly x

Dental floss!! LOL, I'm surprised you lasted as long as you did without laughing! I don't think I could have. At least you managed to sell the house. I also agree with you about staying home to bring up your sons, I did too, and I'm proud to say, even after I was widowed, I still stayed home to bring them up myself. And they grew up to be the best ever sons and fathers. I enjoyed your Good Bad and the Ugly. Well done. Just one little nit I've put below. Big hugs! :) Sandra xxx

This is a fun story about your good, bad, and ugly career choices.
Just one glitch:
I owned a fingerprint kit and also had also made - 2 also's
Otherwise well done.
