Wow, very well done and raw. I like your work :) There's a certain playfulness to when you describe your memories about the hula hooping and whatnot. I really appreciated that and it made me smile!

I am so sorry your health is dwindling. I am grateful you seem to have had a beautiful life with many great experiences.

Have a wonderful day, sweetheart <3 xox

What an impact your poem makes, on my thinking today. I wonder how you can share so much of yourself with others when you need all your energy spent on your health. Then again, you are probably tired of focusing on your health, and need to express yourself here. I can tell you are a giver from this poem. Your writing is very moving, but sad in that you are not mentioning heaven and living forever. I do not mean to offend. I just believe God has something wonderful waiting for us. I am not in your shoes and I don't know how you feel and will not pretend to. I will just pray for you and wish you peace. No pity here, just admiration at your positive strength and intellect!

This is a wonderfully composed poem, Pam. Your kitty, Hankie, is adorable and happy birthday to him. Regarding your illness, I'm glad you've shared this with us here. We've talked a little about it and I hope you are comfortable and live on for a long, long time. You've got a super attitude. Since death is inevitable for everyone, we have no choice in the matter. It's all in God's hands. You're a creative person who writes, creates art (that is so enjoyable) and has loving people with you. Hugs and congrats on a super write. Marilyn

Pam, I'm so sorry your health issues have reached this stage, but you continue to amaze me with your incredible attitude and positive outlook. You approach the end with gratitude for what life has given you, and completely devoid of self-pity. That you can put your feelings into words like this - and do so with excellent meter and rhyme - is testament to both your talent and your strong will. You're definitely a role model for living life to the fullest and facing death with grace and courage.

Excellent. But sad. I too am in the winter of my years (81). I don't fear death so much, but I hate to leave loved ones behind. I do, however; look forward to seeing my darling wife of sixty years. She passed four years ago last month. Your poem is very heartfelt.

Your marriage lasted almost as long as years I have lived. I will die relatively young. I am 66. You have my condolences on your wife?s passing. I hope you see her again. Thank you for a heartfelt review. We have to make way for the young, don?t we. Else, who will take care of the sick and frail. Take care

This poem was well written and carries a lot of weight because it's written by you at this point of tie in your life. Reading this poem could help someone going through the same stage of life and not knowing how to handle it.

Thank-you for sharing your thoughts in your en-lightening verse, very moving. Well written with some lovely rhyme.
We all have to face the death nell at some stage and I agree it sucks to be old with ill health. Chin up and when it comes I hope it is peaceful.
Best wishes, cheers for now, Kev
