That's a solid beard on a strapping man.
Considering you've already won the contest, I assume you are aware this is a decent poem.
The issue with such a poem is usually taking it too far in its praise, and you haven't done that. It is certainly true that the words are consistently positive, but it's also tempered.
A solid ending too, cementing the strong bond you have together.
rhyme is solid, no mistakes noted. A nice read, thank you.

I think in a father/son, speaking on behalf of sons, it reflects more what sort of a dad, because we're dad first, and the friendship comes from mutual respect, however young our child is, they are valuable and precious, and as my wife and my daughters are close, that is the relationship, they raise their kids they way they were raised. Thank you for your review and stars. I suppose most men are close to their sons. I coached him through three years of Pop Warner football and was his baseball manager for four years. He has made me proud since birth. Thanks again for your review and kind words
