Ahh, that is just too sweet. And also so true. What a lovely thing to say in a one line poem. I absolutely adore it. It's a great entry for the contest. All the best of luck. All best. Ulla:)))

Well, I am inclined to think this is about as good as a one-liner can get. Therefore, why not give it a six-star review. I can't see any way to improve it, and I love love stories so here you go. Thanks for the neat wall poster. ;p

Yes, it certainly does, Diana, and not necessarily in that order.
For me personally, the word "LOVE" is one of those four-letter words I simply shy away from.
Love can destroy you just as quickly as it can build you up.

"Love hurts
Love scars
Love wounds and marks
Any heart not tough or strong enough
To take a lot of pain, take a lot of pain
Love is like a cloud, it holds a lot of rain
Love hurts
Ooh love hurts
I'm young
I know
But even so
I know a thing or two, I learned from you
I really learned a lot, really learned a lot
Love is like a flame, it burns you when it's hot
Love hurts
Ooh love hurts..."

What a brilliant one-line poem. The complete love story in just a few little well-chosen words. True love certainly does rip your heart open, and for once, in a good way. Well done and good luck in the contest. :) Sandra xx

Well, I couldn't have said it better. To the point, but accentuates the power of love.
Good to read from you again as just easing in hoping for motivation after a few months away.
My very best wishes.
Have a great day.

I love the way you describe love in your one line poem...excellent! Love can be tumultuous sometimes, but the feeling it gives you can be extraordinary. I love the image you chose to go with it. Good luck in the contest.

An interesting view of love. This emotion can certainly have an explosive effect and one can be carried away by unquestioning, and often, threatening joy. The accompanying illustration is fitting.

Yes. Yes it does. It is a threat as it is a risk to allow yourself to be vulnerable enough to expose your heart! I'm not a fan of one lined poems--but hey, your "one liner" really said something impactful!--Karenina

What a fantastic entry for the One Line Poem prompt. It is dramatic, fiery, and full of emotion. I think it will do very well. The length does not deter from the overall impact of using a negative then a supreme positive.. great contrast.

Hi, Diana,
So true!! The sad thing about this is that too many people read, 'love rips your heart open,' and they stop there. No one wants to believe that in order to receive, you MUST be open to it.
Thank you for sharing your entry in the One Line poetry contest. Good luck!
